Turn off the radio – 2008

I have much respect for on-air live mix show djs. There are many djs on the air that are not the most qualified, but the ones that do it right don’t get as much credit as they deserve. I had a one year stint on a Friday evening mix show DJ on Reno’s Z93 back in 2007 and I learned a lot about how the whole game works. It took me a while to get accustomed to the limits of the PDs playlist and time structures etc. I had a lot of fun and I am grateful for the opportunity that was presented to me because the experience will stay with me forever. I feel this way now, but this is not how I felt towards the end of my radio stint. This mix tape was created as a result of my displeasure with the whole radio scene politics that I had grown to hate specially during this period in time (not to mention the lack of quality music at the time). I hope you enjoy this mix and always remember that all experiences have some type of value which you will one day count on. Shouts to DJ CO1.
